Help Support ALDA's Mission

Donate

For twenty years, ALDA has been working tirelessly to serve the needs of late-deafened people through support, education and advocacy activities. We publish a quarterly newsletter which contains articles about late-deafened activities. We also publish the highly acclaimed ALDA-Reader which contains personal experiences of our members. We have worked diligently to promote the needs of late-deafened people with the State and Federal governments. This included legislation related to accessibility, such as TV (closed captions), Telephone, Relay, Movies, and the Workplace. We have supported the availability of CART Reporting.

Since its inception in Chicago in 1987, ALDA has continued to grow. Our members are of all ages and backgrounds around the U.S. and around the world.. We have a network of local chapters. Our annual international convention, ALDAcon, is now in its 20th year.

ALDA is an all volunteer organization with no paid staff. Financial support for ALDA comes primarily from donations and membership dues. Although corporate sponsorship and profits from ALDAcon also help, it is not enough to support the outreach needed to make ALDA accessible to all those who can benefit from the support our organization offers. In order to continue to provide the services that our members have come to expect and, importantly, to continue to expand our reach, we need your help.

There are several ways that we can accept donations
